Sophie Mackintosh

Sophie Mackintosh is a British author and poet. She was born in Cardiff, Wales, and studied English Literature at the University of Cambridge. Her debut novel, The Water Cure, was published in 2018 and was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize. Her second novel, Blue Ticket, was published in 2020 and was shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction. Mackintosh's work has been praised for its exploration of themes such as gender, power, and identity. She has also written poetry, which has been published in various literary journals. Mackintosh currently lives in London, where she is working on her third novel.
