Simon Turney is a British author of historical fiction and fantasy novels. He is best known for his series of books set in Ancient Rome, including Marius' Mules and The Legion. He has also written several fantasy novels, including The Oracle and The Outcast Chronicles. Turney has a degree in Ancient History and Archaeology from the University of Durham, and has worked as a teacher and a lecturer. He is a passionate advocate for historical accuracy in fiction, and his books are renowned for their attention to detail. He currently lives in the North East of England with his wife and two children.
