Joe Sacco

Joe Sacco is an American cartoonist and journalist best known for his comics journalism, in particular his books Palestine and Footnotes in Gaza. He has also worked as a comics editor for Fantagraphics Books and drawn comic books for DC and Marvel Comics. Sacco has won numerous awards for his work, including the Eisner Award, the Harvey Award, and the Ridenhour Book Prize. He has also been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. Sacco's work has been praised for its unique combination of words and images, and for its ability to bring to life complex stories and characters. He is widely considered to be one of the most influential cartoonists of his generation.
