Angela Duckworth
Angela Duckworth is an American psychologist and professor at the University of Pennsylvania. She is best known for her research on grit and self-control as predictors of success. Duckworth has been awarded a MacArthur Fellowship, a Pulitzer Prize, and a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers. She is the founder and CEO of Character Lab, a nonprofit that uses scientific insights to help children thrive. Duckworth is also the author of the best-selling book Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Atlantic. She is a sought-after speaker and has appeared on The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, and TED Talks.
