Jill Bolte Taylor

Jill Bolte Taylor is a neuroanatomist, author, and public speaker. She is best known for her book, My Stroke of Insight, which chronicles her experience of suffering a massive stroke in 1996 and her subsequent recovery. She is a passionate advocate for brain health and has dedicated her life to educating the public about the brain and its potential. She has appeared on numerous television shows, including Oprah, and has spoken at TED, the World Science Festival, and the United Nations. She is a recipient of the 2009 National Science Board Public Service Award and the 2010 Humanitarian Award from the Harvard Medical School. Her work has been featured in Time Magazine, The New York Times, and The Washington Post.
