Rachel Louise Snyder is an award-winning author, journalist, and professor. She is the author of the critically acclaimed books No Visible Bruises: What We Don’t Know About Domestic Violence Can Kill Us and Fugitive Denim: A Moving Story of People and Pants in the Borderless World of Global Trade. She has written for The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic, among other publications. She is currently a professor at American University in Washington, D.C., where she teaches courses on journalism, nonfiction writing, and social justice. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the National Magazine Award, the Hillman Prize, and the PEN/ESPN Award for Literary Sports Writing.
