Lisa Williamson is an award-winning author and playwright from the UK. She is best known for her debut novel, The Art of Being Normal, which won the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal. Her other works include The Light Outside, The Birthday Party, and The Diamond Thief. She has also written plays for the Royal Court Theatre, the National Theatre, and the Bush Theatre. Lisa is passionate about creating stories that explore identity, relationships, and the power of kindness. She is an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and mental health awareness.
