Rick Yancey is an American author of young adult fiction. He is best known for his five-part series, The 5th Wave, which was adapted into a major motion picture in 2016. Yancey has also written several other novels, including The Extraordinary Adventures of Alfred Kropp, The Monstrumologist, and The Last Star. He has won numerous awards, including the Michael L. Printz Award, the Edgar Award, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. Yancey's books have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold millions of copies worldwide. He currently lives in Florida with his wife and two children.
