Ed Yong
Ed Yong is a science journalist and author based in Washington, D.C. He is best known for his work at The Atlantic, where he has written extensively about science, health, and the environment. He has also written for National Geographic, The New Yorker, Nature, and other publications.
Yong has won numerous awards for his work, including the National Academies Communication Award, the Michael E. DeBakey Journalism Award, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science Journalism Award. He has also been named a National Geographic Emerging Explorer and a TED Fellow.
Yong is the author of the book I Contain Multitudes: The Microbes Within Us and a Grander View of Life, which was a New York Times bestseller and won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. He is also the author of the book The Unseen World: The Secret Life of the Microbes That Surround Us.
Yong is passionate about communicating science to the public and has given numerous talks and lectures on the subject. He is also a frequent guest on radio and television programs, including NPR's Fresh Air and BBC's The Life Scientific.
