Chris Riddell

Chris Riddell is an English illustrator, writer, and political cartoonist. He is best known for illustrating books by Neil Gaiman and Paul Stewart, including the bestselling children's series The Edge Chronicles. He has won numerous awards, including the Kate Greenaway Medal twice, the Nestlé Smarties Book Prize, and the Costa Children's Book Award. He has also been shortlisted for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. Riddell is a passionate advocate for the arts, and has served as the UK Children's Laureate from 2015 to 2017. He is also a political cartoonist for The Observer, and his work has been featured in The New Yorker, The Times, and The Independent.
