Steven Banks is an American television writer, producer, and actor. He is best known for his work on the Nickelodeon series SpongeBob SquarePants, which he has been writing and producing since 1999. He has also written for other shows such as The Fairly OddParents, All Grown Up!, and The Ren & Stimpy Show. Banks has also acted in a few films, including The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. He is a two-time Emmy Award winner and has been nominated for several other awards. Banks is a passionate advocate for the environment and animal rights, and is a member of the Writers Guild of America.
