Ben Aaronovitch is a British author best known for his urban fantasy series, Rivers of London. He has also written Doctor Who novels and comics, as well as the novelization of the movie Stardust. Aaronovitch was born in London in 1964 and studied at the University of Manchester. He began his writing career in the late 1980s, writing for Doctor Who Magazine and other publications. His first novel, Rivers of London, was published in 2011 and was an immediate success. It has since spawned several sequels and a spin-off series. Aaronovitch has also written for television, including the BBC series Doctor Who and the ITV series Primeval. He currently lives in London with his wife and two children.
