Ross Welford is a British author of children's books. He is best known for his debut novel, Time Travelling with a Hamster, which was published in 2016 and won the Blue Peter Book Award. His other works include What Not to Do If You Turn Invisible, The 1000 Year Old Boy, and The Boy Who Sailed the Ocean in an Armchair. Welford has also written for television, radio, and magazines. He is passionate about inspiring young readers and has been a guest speaker at numerous schools and literary festivals. He lives in Newcastle upon Tyne with his wife and two children.
