Cressida Cowell is a British author, illustrator, and screenwriter. She is best known for her How to Train Your Dragon book series, which has been adapted into two feature films and an animated television series. Cowell has also written and illustrated several other books, including The Wizards of Once and The Wizards of Once Twice Magic. She has won numerous awards for her work, including the Nestlé Children’s Book Prize, the Blue Peter Book Award, and the Red House Children’s Book Award. Cowell is an advocate for the environment and has been appointed an ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme. She is also a patron of the charity World Wide Fund for Nature.
