Louise Lockhart

Louise Lockhart is an American artist and educator based in New York City. She is best known for her large-scale abstract paintings, which explore the relationship between color, texture, and form. Lockhart has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the United States and abroad. She has also been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Art in America, and Artforum. Lockhart is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. She is currently an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Lockhart's work is held in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Brooklyn Museum.
