Vashti Harrison is an artist, author, and filmmaker from Los Angeles, California. She is best known for her work in children’s literature, which includes the New York Times bestseller Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History. She is also the author of the upcoming book, Little Dreamers: Visionary Women Around the World. Harrison has also directed several short films, including the award-winning documentary, The Color of Conversation. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Guardian. Harrison is passionate about creating stories that celebrate diversity and empower young people.
