A. A. Milne
A. A. Milne (1882-1956) was an English author, best known for his beloved children's books featuring Winnie-the-Pooh. Born in London, Milne was educated at Westminster School and Trinity College, Cambridge. After serving in World War I, he began writing for Punch magazine and published his first book of poetry in 1923. His first children's book, When We Were Very Young, was published in 1924. Milne's most famous works, Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner, were published in 1926 and 1928, respectively. Milne's stories have been adapted for film, television, and stage, and his characters remain beloved by children and adults alike.
