Linda Sue Park

Linda Sue Park is an award-winning American author of children's literature. She is best known for her 2002 Newbery Medal-winning novel, A Single Shard. Park has written over 20 books, including the Newbery Honor-winning When My Name Was Keoko and the New York Times bestseller The Kite Fighters. She has also written picture books, poetry, and short stories. Park has been praised for her ability to bring Korean culture and history to life in her writing. She has received numerous awards, including the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature, the Golden Kite Award, and the Scott O'Dell Award for Historical Fiction. Park currently lives in California with her family.
