John Boyne

John Boyne is an Irish novelist best known for his 2006 novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. He has written numerous other novels, including The Absolutist, The Heart's Invisible Furies, and The Boy at the Top of the Mountain. Boyne has also written several short stories and children's books. He has won numerous awards, including the Bisto Book of the Year Award, the Irish Book Award, and the Prix Sorcières. Boyne is a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and has been a vocal supporter of the Irish marriage equality referendum. He currently lives in Dublin, Ireland, with his husband and two children.
