Ben Horowitz

Ben Horowitz is an American entrepreneur, investor, and author. He is the co-founder of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, and the author of the best-selling book, The Hard Thing About Hard Things. Horowitz was born in London and raised in Berkeley, California. He attended Columbia University, where he earned a degree in computer science. After college, he worked at several technology companies, including Netscape and Opsware. In 2009, Horowitz co-founded Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm that has invested in some of the most successful technology companies, including Airbnb, Facebook, and Twitter. He is also a board member of several companies, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Jawbone. In 2014, Horowitz published The Hard Thing About Hard Things, a book about his experiences as an entrepreneur and venture capitalist. The book became a New York Times bestseller and has been translated into multiple languages. Horowitz is a sought-after speaker and has given talks at conferences and universities around the world. He is also an active philanthropist, having donated to organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union and the United Negro College Fund.
