Peter Elkind

Peter Elkind is an American journalist and author. He is best known for his investigative reporting on corporate scandals, including Enron and Tyco. He has written for Fortune magazine since 1994, and is currently a senior editor at the magazine. He has also written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. Elkind has authored several books, including The Smartest Guys in the Room: The Amazing Rise and Scandalous Fall of Enron, which was made into an Academy Award-nominated documentary. He has also written The Death of American Virtue: Clinton vs. Starr, which chronicles the impeachment of President Bill Clinton. Elkind has won numerous awards for his work, including the Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism, the Investigative Reporters and Editors Award, and the Society of Professional Journalists Award. He has also been a finalist for the National Magazine Award. Elkind is a graduate of Harvard University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He currently lives in New York City.
