Fareed Zakaria

Fareed Zakaria is an Indian-American journalist, political scientist, and author. He is the host of CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS, a weekly foreign affairs show, and a columnist for The Washington Post. He is also a contributing editor for The Atlantic and a former editor of Newsweek International. Zakaria has written five books, including The Post-American World, which was a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller. He has received numerous awards and honors, including the National Magazine Award for Columns and Commentary, the Overseas Press Club Award for best international reporting, and the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian honor. Zakaria is a frequent commentator on international affairs and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a trustee of the Carnegie Corporation of New York. He is also a member of the Bilderberg Group, an annual private gathering of world leaders and influential figures.
