Steven S. Hoffman is a Canadian lawyer, professor, and public health expert. He is the founder and president of the Global Strategy Lab, a think tank focused on global health and international law. He is also a professor of law and global health at the University of Ottawa, and a senior fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation. Hoffman has a long history of public service, having served as a senior advisor to the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the Canadian government. He has also been a member of the Canadian delegation to the World Health Assembly, and a member of the International Health Regulations Review Committee. Hoffman is a prolific writer, having authored or co-authored numerous books, articles, and reports on global health, international law, and public policy. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars, and has been a guest lecturer at universities around the world. Hoffman is a passionate advocate for global health and international law, and has been recognized for his work with numerous awards and honors. He is a member of the Order of Canada, and has been named one of the world’s most influential people in global health by the World Health Organization.
