Porter Erisman is an American entrepreneur, investor, and author. He is best known for his role as the Vice President of Alibaba Group, where he was instrumental in the company's growth from a start-up to a global e-commerce giant. After leaving Alibaba, Erisman wrote the book Alibaba's World, which chronicles his eight-year journey with the company. Erisman is also an active investor and advisor to a number of startups, including the Chinese online education platform Yuanfudao. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and events, and has been featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Forbes. Erisman is passionate about helping entrepreneurs and startups succeed. He is the founder of the Porter Erisman Foundation, which provides mentorship and resources to entrepreneurs in the US and China. He is also a board member of the China-US Entrepreneurship Council, which works to promote collaboration between entrepreneurs in both countries.
