Daymond John
Daymond John is an American entrepreneur, investor, television personality, author, and motivational speaker. He is best known as the founder, president, and CEO of the popular clothing brand FUBU, and as an investor on the ABC reality television series Shark Tank.
John was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in the Queens neighborhood of Hollis. He attended Bayside High School and later the Fashion Institute of Technology. After graduating, he worked a series of odd jobs, including a stint as a waiter, before launching FUBU in 1992.
FUBU quickly became a success, and John was able to leverage his success to become a sought-after speaker and author. He has written several books, including The Brand Within, Display of Power, and The Power of Broke. He has also appeared on numerous television shows, including Oprah, The View, and The Today Show.
John is also an investor and has made numerous investments in companies through his venture capital firm, Shark Branding. He is a regular investor on the ABC reality television series Shark Tank, where he has invested in over 100 companies.
John is a passionate advocate for entrepreneurship and has been recognized for his work in the business world.
