Rana el Kaliouby
Rana el Kaliouby is an Egyptian-American computer scientist and entrepreneur. She is the co-founder and CEO of Affectiva, a company that uses artificial intelligence to detect and interpret emotions from facial expressions. She is also a research scientist at the MIT Media Lab, where she developed the world’s first emotion recognition technology.
El Kaliouby is a pioneer in the field of affective computing, which is the study of how computers can recognize and respond to human emotions. She has been featured in numerous publications, including Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. She has also been recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader and by the United Nations as a Global Champion for Women and Girls.
