Lisa Z. Fain
Lisa Z. Fain is an accomplished author, speaker, and entrepreneur. She is the founder of the popular blog, Homesick Texan, which celebrates the flavors of her home state of Texas. She has written two cookbooks, The Homesick Texan Cookbook and Queso! Regional Recipes for the World’s Favorite Chile-Cheese Dip, and has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.
Lisa is passionate about sharing her love of Texas cuisine with the world. She has appeared on television shows such as The Today Show, The Splendid Table, and The Martha Stewart Show, and has been a guest chef at the James Beard House. She has also been a featured speaker at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival and the International Association of Culinary Professionals.
In addition to her writing and speaking engagements, Lisa is an active member of the Austin, Texas community. She is a board member of the Austin Food & Wine Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the city’s culinary culture. She also serves on the advisory board of the Sustainable Food Center, a local organization that works to increase access to healthy, local food.
