Jennifer Taub

Jennifer Taub is a professor of law at Vermont Law School and a financial crime expert. She is a frequent commentator on financial regulation, corporate governance, and white-collar crime. She is the author of the book Other People’s Houses: How Decades of Bailouts, Captive Regulators, and Toxic Bankers Made Home Mortgages a Thrilling Business. Taub is a graduate of Harvard Law School and has a Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley. She has held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. She has also served as a consultant to the World Bank and the United Nations. Taub is a frequent guest on television and radio programs, including MSNBC, CNN, NPR, and BBC. She has also written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and The Guardian. She is a member of the American Law Institute and the American Bar Association. Taub is a passionate advocate for financial reform and consumer protection. She has testified before Congress and has been a vocal critic of the financial industry’s lack of accountability and transparency. She is a strong believer in the power of regulation to protect consumers and promote economic stability.
