Marisa Meltzer

Marisa Meltzer is an American journalist, author, and cultural critic. She is best known for her writing on music, fashion, and popular culture, which has appeared in publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, The New Yorker, and Rolling Stone. She is also the author of two books, How Sassy Changed My Life: A Love Letter to the Greatest Teen Magazine of All Time and Girl Power: The Nineties Revolution in Music. Meltzer has been a contributing editor at Elle, a columnist for The Village Voice, and a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine. She has also written for publications such as The New Yorker, The Guardian, The Atlantic, and Rolling Stone. She has appeared on television shows such as The Today Show, Good Morning America, and The Colbert Report. Meltzer is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. She is currently a professor at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
