Cassandra Clare
Cassandra Clare is a New York Times bestselling author of fantasy and young adult fiction. She is best known for her series The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, The Dark Artifices, and The Last Hours. Her books have been translated into more than 35 languages and have sold over 45 million copies worldwide.
Clare was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to the United States when she was six. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned a degree in English Literature. After college, she worked as a film critic and then as a television writer.
Clare's first book, City of Bones, was published in 2007 and was an instant success. Since then, she has written several more books in the Mortal Instruments series, as well as the Infernal Devices, The Dark Artifices, and The Last Hours series. Her books have been adapted into a movie and a television series.
