Dorian Lynskey
Dorian Lynskey is a British journalist, author, and music critic. He is best known for his work as a music critic for The Guardian, where he has written extensively about popular music since 2000. He has also written for The New Yorker, The New Statesman, The Observer, The Sunday Times, and The Times Literary Supplement.
In addition to his work as a music critic, Lynskey has written two books. His first book, 33 Revolutions Per Minute: A History of Protest Songs, was published in 2010 and was shortlisted for the PEN/Ackerley Prize for Autobiography. His second book, The Ministry of Nostalgia, was published in 2016 and was shortlisted for the Jhalak Prize for Book of the Year.
Lynskey is also a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4, where he has appeared on shows such as The Today Programme, The World at One, and The Media Show. He has also appeared on BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 3, and BBC Radio 4 Extra.
In addition to his work as a journalist and author, Lynskey is also a lecturer at the University of Westminster, where he teaches courses on popular music and culture. He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of East Anglia and a visiting professor at the University of the Arts London.
