Bernardine Evaristo
Bernardine Evaristo is a British novelist, poet, playwright, and professor of creative writing. She is the first black woman to win the Booker Prize, which she won in 2019 for her novel Girl, Woman, Other. Evaristo was born in London in 1959 to a Nigerian father and a British mother.
