Carl Hiaasen

Carl Hiaasen is an American journalist, columnist, and best-selling author of mystery and suspense novels. He is best known for his humorous and satirical novels set in Florida, which often feature environmental themes. His books often feature a cast of quirky characters, including criminals, corrupt politicians, and other colorful characters. Hiaasen has written over 20 novels, including the best-selling Skinny Dip, Nature Girl, and Bad Monkey. He has also written several non-fiction books, including Team Rodent: How Disney Devours the World and Kick Ass: Saving Florida with Charlie Crist. Hiaasen has won numerous awards for his writing, including the John D. MacDonald Award for Excellence in Florida Fiction and the Edgar Award for Best Mystery Novel. He is also a regular contributor to the Miami Herald, where he has written a weekly column since 1985. Hiaasen's books have been translated into more than 20 languages and have sold millions of copies worldwide.
