Ziauddin Yousafzai

Ziauddin Yousafzai is a Pakistani education activist and the father of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai. He is the founder and director of the Khushal Public School and College in the Swat Valley of Pakistan. He is also the founder of the Malala Fund, a non-profit organization that works to empower girls through education. Ziauddin was born in the Swat Valley in 1969 and grew up in a conservative Pashtun family. He was educated at the University of Peshawar, where he earned a degree in English literature.
