Haben Girma
Haben Girma is a disability rights lawyer, advocate, and public speaker. She is the first deafblind graduate of Harvard Law School and the first deafblind person to pass the California Bar Exam. She has worked with the White House, the United Nations, and the World Bank to advance disability rights.
Haben has been recognized for her work with numerous awards, including the Helen Keller Achievement Award, the American Association of People with Disabilities Paul G. Hearne Award, and the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. She has also been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal.
Haben is passionate about making the world more accessible for people with disabilities. She has spoken at TED, the United Nations, and the White House, and has written for the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal. She is also the author of the book Haben: The Deafblind Woman Who Conquered Harvard Law.
