Michael Rosen
Michael Rosen is an English poet, author, and broadcaster. He is best known for his work in children's literature, particularly his poetry collections such as Quick, Let's Get Out of Here and We're Going on a Bear Hunt. He has also written several novels for adults, including The Missing and Mind Your Own Business.
Rosen has been a frequent guest on BBC Radio 4, and has presented several series for the station, including Word of Mouth and The Verb. He has also written and presented several documentaries for BBC Radio 4, including The History of the Joke and The History of the Story.
Rosen has been a strong advocate for children's rights, and has been a vocal critic of the UK government's education policies. He has also been a vocal supporter of the National Literacy Trust, and has served as a patron of the charity since 2011.
Rosen has won numerous awards for his work, including the Eleanor Farjeon Award, the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, and the Children's Book Award. He was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2018 New Year Honours for services to literature.
