Gary Younge
Gary Younge is an award-winning British journalist, author, and broadcaster. He is the editor-at-large for The Guardian and a professor of sociology at the University of Manchester. He is best known for his writing on race, politics, and international affairs.
Younge has written extensively on the Black Lives Matter movement, the rise of Donald Trump, and the refugee crisis. He has also written several books, including Who Are We – And Should It Matter in the 21st Century?, Stranger in a Strange Land: Encounters in the Disunited States, and Another Day in the Death of America.
Younge has been a frequent guest on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, and has appeared on BBC Newsnight, Sky News, and Channel 4 News. He has also been a guest on the BBC's flagship current affairs programme, Panorama.
Younge has won numerous awards for his work, including the Orwell Prize for Journalism, the James Cameron Prize, and the David Watt Prize. He was also named Journalist of the Year at the British Press Awards in 2018.
